SILVIS, Illinois — Some players still working on Round 1 of the John Deere Classic will have to resume their game Friday, August 12, on Day 2.
Mid-day storms on Thursday forced a delay on the course at TPC Deere Run. From around 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., play was halted.
An alert sent out to volunteers at JDC said play would resume at noon
The initial re-start time on Friday was 7 a.m., but because of more bad weather, it was delayed to “at least” 9 a.m., then 10 a.m., then 11 a.m., and finally noon.
Crews were out on the grounds cleaning up.
No official re-start time was set.
