Overnight shooting leaves one injured in Moline

A reward is being offered for information regarding the shooting.

MOLINE — Police are investigating a shooting Wednesday night that occurred in the 400 block of Railroad Avenue.

Officers responded to a 911 call a little after 10 p.m. and found a gunshot victim in a car. According to the report, the victim – a 20-year-old male – was shot while sitting in the vehicle and tried to drive himself to the emergency room. He only made it to the 300 block of 16th Avenue, where he stopped and called 911, the report stated.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital by the Moline Fire Department.

Police say it appears multiple gunshots were fired at the victim’s vehicle while it was parked in an alley off of Railroad Avenue. There were two other passengers in the car, who were questioned by police. Neither of the passengers were injured.
