KNOXVILLE, Illinois — Knowing how to rescue somebody who's hurt on the far could mean the difference between life and death.

Between 1986 and 2010, there were more than 800 farm related deaths in Illinois. More than 30 percent of job deaths in Iowa from 2001 to 2011 were on the farm.

WQAD Photojournalist Julianna Schreyer shows us how crews are making sure that farmers know what to do in a moment's notice. The training was held Saturday, Aug. 6 at the Knox County Fairgrounds. Classes were taught by Stateline Farm Rescue, Cottage Hospital, Illinois Fire Service Institute and Growmark.
