IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — A Cedar Rapids teenager has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and robbery charges related to an early July incident in Iowa City.
The 16-year-old fired a gun multiple times at three juveniles in Iowa City on July 6, the Iowa City Press-Citizen reports.
The teen and his victims were engaged in an ongoing dispute. Authorities say the teen demanded that his victims empty their pockets, threatened to shoot them, and fired at them as they fled.
No one was hurt.
The 16-year-old’s trial is scheduled to begin on Sept. 20.
The Associated Press generally does not identify juveniles charged with crimes.
