LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND – To celebrate his 10th wedding anniversary, Carl Gilbertson planned an amazing surprise for his wife, reports FOX8.
After seeing how much she loved the flash-mob style marriage proposals, he arranged for students from a Liverpool, England performing arts school to give Laura a flash-mob serenade to the Bruno Mars song, “Just the Way You Are.”
“So the song was important only in the sense that I wanted her to know that no matter what may change, I love her just as she is and that to me she’s perfect,” he told Today.
What makes the song choice so special is that Laura lives with multiple sclerosis. When the pair married a decade ago, the disease hadn’t progressed and she was able to work as a children’s nurse. Today, she is in a wheelchair.
Carl told her they were going to meet his parents at a local shopping center. Instead, she got her surprise. And the video has now gone viral.
It brought her to tears….she wasn’t alone.
