DAVENPORT, Iowa –
Two teenagers now face adult charges in connection with the June 26 shooting death of Ayana Culbreath, 15.
Culbreath was gunned down during what friends described as a “bonfire” in a Davenport backyard early June 26.
She died after being shot in the chest.
Kamario Hill, 14, now faces a first degree murder charge and others in connection with the case.
Officials moved the case to adult court because of the allegations and Hill’s prior record.
Police say that Hill and Trevor Owens, 17, were identified as the shooters.
Owens is also being charged as an adult and scheduled to be arraigned on August 11.
