GALENA, Illinois — A 73-year-old man has been taken to the hospital after a vehicle crash in Galena on Wednesday, July 27.
Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says around 12:30 p.m. they were called to the intersection of West Guilford Road and West Stagecoach Trail. A Honda driven by Jeffrey June, 55, of Oklahoma, failed to stop at a stop sign collided with a Chevy truck driven by Norman Vandigo, 73, of Apple River.
Vandigo was taken by ambulance to a hospital. June was uninjured.
June was cited for failing to yield at a stop intersection.
The crash is still under investigation.
