MUSCATINE, Iowa — Three people were inside a house that was damaged by gunfire overnight.
A report of shots fired came in to the Muscatine Police Department around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016 and officers responded to the 600 block of Sycamore Street, according to a department statement. More than a dozen shell casings were found in that area.
According to police, a witness recalled seeing a small car leave the area and head westbound in an alley towards Iowa Avenue. Now police are asking for help in identifying the vehicle and those involved in the shooting.
