MOLINE, Illinois - A father and his two sons are keeping the family tradition alive by riding in RAGBRAI every year. However the ride is about more than just father-son time, it's actually helping one of his son's overcome daily struggles.

Richard Clark introduced riding to his two sons Aaron and Zachary when they were one.

"Their whole lives they`ve been riding," said Richard.

RAGBRAI is seven-day ride that takes bicyclists along the Mississippi River in Iowa.

"The route is going to be extremely hard," said Aaron.

However, riding in RAGBRAI has provided more than memories for the family. Aaron was diagnosed with autism and has trouble with his social skills, riding takes away some of that nervousness.

"It gives him a great opportunity to put his energy out there and be able to be contained and focused on riding and not worry about the social interactions because a lot of the interactions happen in passing," said Richard.

RAGBRAI begins Sunday, July 24th in Glenwood, Iowa and ends Saturday, July 30th in Muscatine.
