BETTENDORF, Iowa-- More than 100 motorcyclist rode from the Convention Center in Bettendorf to a festival at the  Big Barn Harley-Davidson in Des Moines Saturday, July 16.

The event was hosted by ThanktheSEALs organizations to raise money and awareness for U.S Navy SEALs transitioning from the battlefield to civilian life.

"We don't necessarily  think about the job that they're doing to protect the very freedoms that we all enjoy every day on a silver platter to us. That's what I want people to stop and think about," says ThanktheSEALs Founder, Bill Christman.

The group rode with two active U.S. Navy SEALs  who were honored at the celebration in Des Moines.

All the money raised during the event will go towards Your Grateful Nation Foundation.
