Police say missing Bettendorf teen has returned home

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding a 14-year-old girl who was reported missing.

EAST MOLINE, Illinois — Police say a Bettendorf teen last seen in East Moline has returned home.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding a 14-year-old girl who was reported missing.

Angel Hannon was last seen on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 between 2 p.m. and 3: 30 p.m. when she was leaving a family member’s home in the 4100 block of 4th Avenue.  Angel was picked up by an unknown person in an older black-sports-car style vehicle that looked like a Honda Civic.  She did not return to her Bettendorf home, said the East Moline Police Department in a statement.

Angel is described as being about 5-feet, 2-inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes, police said. She was last seen wearing a black and white sweatshirt.

“Angel has a history of running away and in the past she had frequently gone to places in the East Moline and Silvis area,” police said in their statement.
