Mobile medical center offers free ultrasounds, pregnancy tests to QC women

The van is staffed with a nurse and a volunteer who will visit different communities in our area each week, offering its services free of charge.

MOLINE, Illinois — Pregnancy Resources unveiled a new mobile medical center. The Medical Mobile Hope van offers ultrasounds and pregnancy tests to women in areas where it might be more difficult to get to a clinic.

The van is staffed with a nurse and a volunteer who will visit different communities in our area each week, offering its services free of charge.

"We're just excited to reach out in the QCA to offer our services in more places; reach more people," said Susan Skoglund, executive director.

The van will follow a set schedule each week. They will accept both walk ups and scheduled appointments. More information can be found at www.qcpregnancy.org.

Pregnancy Resources hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony in Moline on Friday, July 15, to celebrate the new service.
