When you hear the name Bunker Links Golf Course, you probably picture - bunkers. However, you won't find many at this golf course in Galesburg, Illinois.
"It was designed by a gentleman named Bunker so that's where the name came from" explains Head Golf Professional Bryan Luedtke. "Actually, we've taken a lot of bunkers out just for maintenance reasons and for pace of play."
Luedtke says his favorite part about Bunker Links is it's very playable for all players and people tend to shoot good scores.
"The golf course is about 6,000 yards long so it's not real long and most of the greens you can run up your shots so it's very player-friendly," he says. "You tend to shoot a better score when you come here, because it's not as difficult as a lot of other golf courses so you come here and you shoot a good score and everybody seems to be pretty happy about it."
