WASHINGTON, Iowa (AP) — State authorities are investigating a southeast Iowa house fire in which one person died and another was injured.
The blaze was reported about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, June 19, 2016 in Washington. One person was pronounced dead at the scene and another was taken to a hospital. Their names haven’t been released.
The fire was so large it damaged a neighboring house. The fire cause is being investigated.
