Moline and Rock Island residents were without power for a total of about two hours overnight, Thursday, June 16, 2016.
Power was knocked out to around 2,500 customers around 2 a.m. when tree branches hit a power line in the 1100 block of 4th Street in Rock Island, according to a spokesperson from MidAmerican Energy. Power was back on around 2:45 a.m.
Later in the morning, around 6 a.m., power was cut to those customers again for crews to complete repairs. This time about 2,200 customers were impacted.
