Dubuque officer ticketed for causing vehicle crash

The officer was turning in an improper lane and collided with a vehicle driven by an uninsured 19-year-old.

DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) — A Dubuque police officer has been ticketed after causing a minor two-vehicle crash.

Officer Ann Dauderman, 32, was cited Wednesday with failure to maintain control of her squad vehicle, the Telegraph Herald reports.

According to a crash report, Dauderman was westbound in her squad car just before 2 a.m. Wednesday when she turned and collided with a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Dubuque man.

The report says Dauderman was not in the proper lane

No one was injured in the crash. Both the squad car and the other vehicle sustained $800 worth of damage.

The teen was cited for not having proof of insurance.
