Davenport auto parts store robbed by man armed with a knife

A man reportedly got away, after he used a knife to force an auto parts store clerk to give him money.

DAVENPORT, Iowa – A man reportedly got away after he used a knife to force an auto parts store clerk to give him money.

The robbery was reported at the O’Reilly Auto Parts store at 2020 East Locust Street just after 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016.

The suspect “displayed a knife and demanded money from the clerk,” according to a statement from the Davenport Police Department.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Davenport Police at 563-326-6125 or submit an anonymous tip via their app called CityConnect Davenport, IA.
