DIXON, Ill. (AP) — The Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home in northern Illinois is looking for a new director.

The previous director resigned last month to take a new job.

The 125-year-old house in Dixon was home to the Reagan family for about three years starting when the future president was a couple months shy of his 10th birthday.

The Dixon Telegraph reports that the Ronald Reagan Home Preservation Foundation board began advertising the director’s job this week and has about a half dozen applicants.

Interim board President John Thompson says the home “gives the community a sense of pride and tells the story of a small town that can produce someone who became president of the United States.”
