BETTENDORF, Iowa — A kitchen fire damaged a townhouse and displaced the people who lived there.
The fire was in the kitchen, but smoke spread throughout the unit, according to a statement from the City of Bettendorf. It happened in the 2700 block of Hawthorne Drive around 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2016.
The occupants of that townhouse unit were displaced, but were assisted by the Red Cross, the statement said.
There was no damage to the three other units in the townhouse.
