Clinton gave an extensive foreign policy speech this afternoon, presenting a stark contrast between what she called her own experience-based qualifications to command U.S. foreign policy and Donald Trump’s reckless ignorance about national security. In her speech, she described Trump as dangerously incoherent, temperamentally unfit for the White House, and reinforced her own qualifications.
Clinton told the San Diego audience, “I have sat in the situation room and advised the President on some of the toughest choices he faced, so I’m not new to this work and I’m proud to run on my record.”
But even before Clinton could give her speech today, Trump went ahead and called her a liar last night. He told his supporters, “She lies, she lies. She made a speech, and she’s making another one tomorrow, and they sent me a copy of the speech, and it was such lies about my foreign policy.”
It continued today when during Clinton’s speech, Trump tweeted, “Bad performance by Crooked Hillary Clinton! Reading poorly from the teleprompter! She doesn’t even look presidential!”
