A motorcyclist died after running into a guardrail on a Rock Island roadway.
The driver was heading eastbound near 38th Street/5th Avenue on a 2015 BMW when the crash happened, according to a statement from Rock Island Deputy Chief Jason Foy. It was just after 8 p.m. on Monday, May 30, 2016.
38th Street/5th Avenue is located just north of Augustana College's Lindberg Stadium.
The driver died after being taken to a Rock Island hospital, Foy's statement said.
Police said they were not yet releasing the person's identity.
