MOLINE, Illinois--Runners of all abilities hit the race course Saturday, May 28, for the First Step 5-K.

Hundreds of kids and adults ran by the Moline Riverfront to support the Children's Therapy Center of the Quad Cities.  All of the money from the race will fund programs for kids with living with disabilities.

Runner Tara Wilson, says she runs for her daughter who lives with Down Syndrome, as well as other children who take advantage of the programs offered by the Children's Therapy Center, it's also a good time to spend with her family."

"We run for something important but its a physical thing too.  It's healthy and keeps us doing it together being healthy together. I think it makes memories," she says.

Before the 5K, kids took part in the Mills Mini Mile, everyone who participated received a medal after crossing the finish line.
