The Channel Cat is returning for its 22nd season and will run Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend in September. This year, tickets for the water taxi can be bought through a mobile app. The free "Channel Cat" app can be downloaded from the Apple or Android marketplaces.

That ticket can also be used for discounts to about 25 different Quad Cities businesses who rely on the riverfront through the summer months.

There's also a $1.3 million improvement project underway at the home port in Moline, which should be completed by July.

The water taxi makes stops at Celebration Belle, The Village of East Davenport, Isle of Capri Casino and the John Deere Commons. The main attraction, as always, is the view of the Mississippi.

The cost for adults is $8, and $4 for kids ages 2-10. As long as you have your ticket, you can ride as long as you'd like all day.
