10 pounds marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms send four to Scott County Jail

DAVENPORT, Iowa — Four people were arrested this morning in Davenport after authorities found marijuana, marijuana candies and mushrooms at two residences.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office says they executed two search warrants at 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 25. The first search was done in the 1400 block of West Pleasant Street, where police found marijuana, marijuana candies, marijuana wax and a marijuana concentrate.

Austen Albers, 20, and Amanda Jones, 18, were arrested at that location.

Cash, scales, packaging materials and a ledger were also found on the property, along with a list of names and dollar amounts.

The criminal complaint alleges that Albers is already on probation for felon in possession of a firearm and a felony drug offense stemming from a previous marijuana investigation.

The second search was executed in the 3500 block of Bridge Avenue. Authorities found 10 pounds of marijuana, marijauna wax, marijuana concentrate, 80 pieces of marijuana candy and psychedelic mushrooms. Tomas Gutierrez, 21, and Michael Van Noord, 24, were arrested at the second location.

During an invertview, Jones admitted that Gutierrez and Van Noord followed Albers and her back from Colorado, say police.

All four are held in the Scott County Jail, each on a $5,000 bond. Each are charged with three counts possession with intent to deliver and one count of felony conspiracy. Gutierrez is also charged with possession of psilocybin mushrooms, according to the complaint.
