East Moline woman accused of not providing proper care for her baby

Police were searching for an East Moline woman accused of endangering the health of her own six-month-old child.

EAST MOLINE, Illinois – Police were searching for an East Moline woman accused of endangering the health of her own six-month-old child.

Authorities were searching for 24-year-old Amber DeGryse after a warrant was issued for her arrest Tuesday, May 24, 2016.

“Police believe that DeGryse is still in the area and may frequent local hotels,” said a statement from East Moline Police Lt. Darren Gault.  “DeGryse should have with her a 6-month-old child.  Police believe that DeGryse is not providing proper care to the child.”

The warrant is part of an investigation by the Department of Children and Family Services, and East Moline Police.
