MOLINE, Illinois — A baseball league in Moline is making sure everyone gets the chance to play. The Moline Challenger League is for athletes with physical or mental disabilities. There are six teams in the league, which is a part of the Moline, Illinois Baseball League.

Buanita Mattan's son is a coach on the General Pattern baseball team. Her grandson plays on the General Pattern team. Mattan always enjoys watching the baseball games.

"There's nobody judging them, they don't feel the pressure that regular teams have," said Mattan. "They love the coaches, they love the people. There is no limits here. No limits."

From the first Sunday in April until the end of June teams play at Riverside Park. Three games are played each Sunday. The teams are sponsored by a variety of local companies.

The Moline Challenger League sends information out to parents though local school's special education departments. The Moline Baseball League sets up field maintenance and concession stand help for the Challenger League.
