A former Monmouth-Roseville teacher entered a plea deal after being accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Jennifer Rexroat pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of endangering the life or health of a child in Warren County Court on Wednesday, May 18, 2016.

Back in April of 2015, Rexroat was charged with indecent solicitation of a child after police found out she had been sending messages to a 14-year-old student on Instagram, according to a report by the Galesburg Register-Mail.  Reports indicate that she was asking the student to engage in oral sex with her.

"There is no evidence that the sex act occurred," said a previous statement from Warren County State's Attorney Albert Algren.

Rexroat was ordered to give up her teaching license, pay a $2,500 fine, and serve two years of probation, according to the Register-Mail. Rexroat was also ordered to not have any contact with the teen or his family.  She will also undergo sex offender evaluation.
