DIXON, Illinois — Police are asking for information in several thefts involving power tools.

The thefts happened in early May, according to a statement from the Dixon Police Department.

One or more people reportedly broke into enclosed equipment trailers around town, police said.  They took tools like chainsaws, leaf blowers,and construction power tools like nail guns, saws, and routers.  These items are worth thousands of dollars.

If you have any information, you are asked to call the Dixon Police Department at 815-288-4411. You can also call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CAUGHT-U. Callers can remain anonymous and receive an award of up to $1,000 if their information leads to an arrest.
