Juvenile injured in Muscatine hit-and-run, police seek help in finding driver

A juvenile was injured in a hit and run in Muscatine, Iowa. Now police are looking for the driver.

MUSCATINE, Iowa — A juvenile was injured in a hit-and-run in Muscatine, Iowa. Now police are looking for the driver.

The hit-and-run happened at East 5th Street and Sycamore Street around 3:40 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2016, according to a statement from Lt. Jeff D. Jirak.  The juvenile who was injured in the incident was taken to the ER with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said they are looking for the owner or driver of a dark-colored PT Cruiser HHR station wagon. The vehicle's rear bumper has a "noticeable dent" on the passenger side.

The driver was described as a white female between 16 and 20 years old, according to Jirak's statement.
