Firefighters in Canada say they believe they're turning the tide in the battle against that massive wildfire. The more than 500,000 acre wildfire near Fort McMurray continues to burn. Better weather conditions have helped bring parts of it under control.
Homeowners will soon be getting help from Iowans. Five Iowa Red Cross workers are heading to Canada to help thousands of evacuees.
Right now, access to clean water is an issue as ash had made its way into the water infrastructure. The fire could still burn for months, but it's no longer threatening any populated areas.
