DAVENPORT, Iowa-- Families took advantage of the nice weather on Sunday May 8, for the last day for the Beaux Arts Fair.

The fair was hosted by the Figge Arts Museum, more than 120 different booths sold handmade items like jewelry, woodwork and home decor.  Small business owners say the fair was a good opportunity to get their name out there.

" It's definitely been worth it to meet the great people of Davenport and to learn a little bit about the city. It's got a lot of history and the river and the rails, it's a very interesting place," says Mary Jo Schmith, owner of pottery shop based in Minnesota.

Second street, between Harrison and Brady, is back open to traffic, after being closed for the art fair.
