ABINGDON, Illinois — The Illinois State Police has released the names of those involved in the fatal crash north of Abingdon on Wednesday, May 4.

Drienne Kruzan, 71, of Abingdon was driving a Honda and stopped at a stop sign on State Route 41 around 2:45 p.m. She was rear-ended by a Ford pickup truck driven by Troy Patch, 44, of Brimfield. Kruzan was pronounced dead when help arrived. Both Patch and his passenger, Robby Colwell, 33, of Abingdon refused medical attention.

Police say components of a suspected meth lab were located in the pickup truck and seized by authorities.  Patch was cited for failture to reduce speed to avoid a crash, but the investigation is still ongoing and more charges may be filed.

Traffic on State Route 41 was rerouted until about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
