CLINTON, Iowa — The driver of the vehicle that struck a building in Clinton, Iowa, was reportedly stopped by police as he tried to leave the scene.
Matthew Norem, 32, of Fulton, Illinois struck a building in the 500 block of S. Second Street the night of Friday, April 30. He has been arrested and charged with OWI, failure to maintain control and striking fixtures upon a highway.
The owners of the Tom & Audrey’s Antique and Collectible Mall shop that was struck say they are still open today for business.
Norem was released from the Clinton County Jail on his own recognizance.
