MOLINE, Illinois - A long time Quad City favorite is back.

Two years ago, the owners of the Belgian Village Inn in Moline closed its door, but starting on Thursday, April 28th, people can get their famous vanderuebens again.

The business that opened back in 1977 is being reopened by a new generation. The previous owner's daughter, Katie Manning is opening the business back up.

“It's cool to keep something like this going and have it be in the family still," said Manning.

People can expect to find 12 original sandwiches on the menu, including the vanderueben.

However, this time, Manning is bringing a new concept, Belgian Village to go. Instead of customers sitting down to get a sandwich hot and grilled, people can stop by grab a pre-made sandwich and cook it from their home.

The restaurant is still located at its building off of 17th Avenue in Moline.

People can call to pre-order during the week. You can also stop by without pre-ordering, but there's no guarantee how many sandwiches will be left.

Pick up is every Thursday from 11 am to 7 pm.
