Marina area searched following shots fired and crash in Moline

MOLINE, Illinois - Law enforcement converged on the North Shore Marina area the morning after shots were reportedly fired and one person was injured in a crash in Moline.

Police received a report of shots fired at a location on 7th Street during the overnight hours Sunday night, April 24, 2016.  A short time later, police were sent to a crash involving a vehicle that hit a pole at North Shore Marina.  One person was taken from the crash scene, by ambulance, to a local hospital.

About a dozen investigators searched a wooded area near the crash scene, and they launched a boat to search in the water there, Monday morning, April 25.  Police did not immediately disclose the item or items for which they were searching.

No arrests had been made in connection with the incident yet, police said.
