OELWEIN, Iowa (AP) — Iowa authorities say a 63-year-old man has died after being shot by a fellow turkey hunter.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says Michael Adams died Saturday afternoon after being shot in the chest and face with a 12-gauge shotgun.
Adams was shot by another hunter in his group while hunting north of Maynard in Fayette County. Adams died at the scene.
The state Department of Natural Resources is investigating the incident.
Adams was from Oelwein, Iowa.
