ROCK ISLAND, Illinois — Quad Cities Interfaith and Rock Island Housing Authority have partnered to offer free job preparedness workshops on Saturday, April 23.
Workshops will take place at Spencer Towers, 111 20th St. in Rock Island, from 9 a.m. -1 p.m. All job seekers looking to improve their skills are welcome.
The workshops will include mock interviews, resume review and writing, introduction to highway construction career training programs and building trade/apprenticeship opportunities, and information on employment resources and training. An informational booth will offer pamphlets on jobs and service related programs such as Skip-a-Long and QC Dress for Success.
Workshops will be repeated throughout the morning to allow participants to meet with presenters. BlackHawk College, Scott Community College and the Illinois Department of Employment Security will also be participating in the event.
Anyone in the Quad Cities is welcome to attend. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required.
