ROCK ISLAND, Illinois — A woman was hurt after she was shot by her father in Rock Island, Illinois. It happened just before 12:30 a.m. in the 600 block of 9th Avenue.
Rock Island Police have confirmed a woman was shot in the head. The woman was taken to a hospital and no word has been released on her condition at this time.
Curtis Reed, 70, of Rock Island, is in jail and charged with aggravated battery and domestic assault. Police say Reed had been drinking before the assault.
