The annual Children's Therapy Center Telethon hit record numbers Sunday, April 11, 2016, raising almost $230,000.
The telethon went from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. in WQAD's studios. The money was party raised through fundraisers held by local groups, organizations, and businesses, by sponsors and by callers who pledged during the six-hour time frame, according to Angie Peterson with the center's donation and fundraising department.
The exact total, $229,627, is a record-breaking amount donated in the telethon's history.
