MELBOURNE, Fla. (AP) — Twins are increasingly common, but identical boys due next month in Florida have remarkable parents: Mom and Dad each have a twin sibling, too.

Lenae Walton and Leonardo Rivera of Melbourne are expecting their twin sons May 4. Walton, 29, has a fraternal twin sister and Rivera, 24, has a fraternal twin brother.

Walton’s doctor tells Florida Today that it’s rare for twins to have twins themselves, and identical twins account for only 15 percent of twin pregnancies worldwide.

Rivera says he still gets mistaken for his twin brother. Walton says she couldn’t stand being mixed up with her twin sister, and she hopes people will see her sons as individuals.

The twins will join Walton’s two sons, ages 8 and 6, who also live with the couple.
