LAKESIDE, Calif. -- A 9-year-old girl and her father were found living in a small backyard shed containing guns and drugs Thursday in California, according to KSWB.
Six men and two women were arrested and expected to face various criminal charges including child endangerment, being felons in possession of firearms, possession of meth and heroin, and probation violations, said police.
Deputies searched the building and found a shotgun, .22-caliber rifle, and 8.1 grams of meth, reports KSWB. Police also said the building was "uninhabitable" and lacked proper sanitary facilities.
The child was taken into protective custody.
