Davenport police raided the home of one of the city’s alderman as a part of a meth investigation.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — Davenport police raided the home of one of the city's alderman as a part of a meth investigation.

Police were at Bill Boom's home on 7th Street. Gage Wenthe, 25, was arrested after police say they found drugs and drug paraphernalia in the home, the Quad City Times reports.

The Times reports that alderman Boom is out of town and that Boom has been acting as Wenthe's parental surrogate.

Wenthe is being held in the Scott County Jail.
