It's that time of year where some teens go out of their way to create the best and most unique "prom-posals" ahead of the big dance.
Earlier this week, News 8 saw a sign at the Establishment Theater in Rock Island, reading, "Sydney, would you go to prom with me?" The week came and went, and there was still no word on who Sydney was, whether she'd said 'yes,' or who asked her to prom.
Today, the answers arrived! Sydney Schneider called News 8 to share the exciting details. She said YES, and will attend Davenport West High School's prom with Peter Baril. Both students are seniors at the school. The Establishment Theater has significance for Peter and Sydney, who have gone to see "Comedy Sportz" several times together.
Davenport West's prom is April 23rd. It's the last dance of the year, and the final one (ever!) for Peter and Sydney. Next year, Peter is heading to Western Illinois University, while Sydney will study at Black Hawk College.
