Grayslake, IL — A meth lab inside an Illinois hotel has been busted, police say.
The lab was set up inside a room at the Comfort Suites in Grayslake, Illinois, according to a statement from Illinois State Police; the hotel was evacuated.
A tweet about the situation indicated that authorities were sent to the area Monday evening, March 28, 2016.
The person accused of setting up the meth lab was taken into custody, the statement said.
“The suspect stated he had meth precursors and meth in his hotel room,” read the statement. Police also found out that there could be anhydrous ammonia in the room.
The hotel is located near a busy intersection where U.S. 45 and Highway 120 cross.
Clean-up was expected to take several hours. No charges had yet been filed.
