It's a question over momentum versus math for Senator Bernie Sanders right now. After scoring big wins in Alaska, Hawaii, and Washington state yesterday, the Senator certainly has momentum. But delegate math tells a different story. The numbers continue to favor Hillary Clinton. Sanders has won 975 delegates so far... collecting many after victories in 5 of the last 6 contests.
Clinton has stayed relatively quiet since yesterday's losses. Up next, she's headed to Wisconsin, where the next votes will be cast one week from Tuesday, on April 5th. 96 Democratic delegates are up for grabs.
Donald Trump also responded to the terror attacks, saying he doesn't think Europe is a safe place to visit. Trump also criticized Obama, saying it's irresponsible to bring more refugees into the U.S. after the attacks.
And now, perhaps as a result, Cruz is stepping back ever so slightly on the pledge he made earlier this election season, leaving the door wide open over whether or not he'd support Trump as the Republican nominee. On Thursday, he quipped, "I don't make a habit of supporting people who attack my wife and attack my family."
Trump justified tweeting the photo of Cruz' wife, saying Cruz started it by running the ad with his wife in it. Cruz continues to deny his affiliation with that ad and has denounced it altogether.
