DAVENPORT, Iowa — Two Davenport gang members have been arrested following a multi-jurisdictional gun investigation.

A search warrant at a residence on W. 68th Street in Davenport on Friday, March 25 turned up approximately 100 grams of high grade marijuana, seven guns and several rounds of ammunition.

During the search, Adan Herrera, 21, pulled into the driveway. A loaded handgun was found in his car.

The guns found inside the home included three handguns, two shotguns and two rifles.

Herrera is charged with carrying weapons, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, criminal gang participation and violation of the Iowa drug tax stamp.

The same night around 11 p.m., a search was also executed Cody Williamson’s home at 1301 Warren Street in Davenport. Officials found four firearms – two of which had been reported stolen. Williamson lived within 1,000 feet of the “Friendly House,” a business that provides daycare and schooling services.

Williamson, 19, has been charged with two counts of possession of stolen firearms and criminal gang participation.

Both men are known members of the Lowrider street gang.

Each man was only in custody for around one hour before being released on bond.

This investigation is still ongoing and the Davenport Police Department says detectives continue to follow up with connections to other incidents.
