Ducklings hatch at John Deere Pavilion

The John Deere Pavilion has turned into a temporary nursery for dozens of newborn ducklings.

MOLINE, Illinois -- The John Deere Pavilion has turned into a temporary nursery for dozens of newborn ducklings.

Thursday, March 24 was the first day visitors could watch the ducklings hatch in the pavilion's nesting area.

As the ducklings get used to their surroundings, they hop in the temporary pond to learn the ropes of being a duck.

It's also a good opportunity for kids to learn about the ducks before they get too big for the pavilion.

When they are ready, the ducks will move to a farm in Orion, Illinois.

The John Deere Pavilion offers free admission, is open to the public year-round, and welcomes group tours. Guests have the opportunity to take spring photos with the ducklings March 25 and 26.
