DAVENPORT, Iowa  — Two men have been arrested after two buildings and a car were shot in Davenport. Around 4:30 p.m. Davenport Police investigated the shots fired call in the 1300 block of W. 8th Street and saw someone speeding away from the area.

Officers pursued for about three minutes. The man hit a nearby parked car near 35th and Marquette Street. The car stopped in the 100 block of W. Central Park Avenue and took off on foot before he was caught by police.

The driver suffered minor injuries.

Markell Dixon, 20, of Rock Island, has been charged in IOwa with being a felon in possession of a firearm, intimidation with a weapon, interference and carrying dangerous weapons. Dixon was wanted out of Illinois on parole violations.

Brandon Branigan, 25, of Rock Island, is charged with felony eluding, being a felon in possession of a firearm, intimidation with a weapon and several traffic violations. Branigan was also wanted out of Illinois on parole violations stemming from an armed robbery arrest.

The Davenport Criminal Investigations Division is still investigating and anyone with information is asked to call the department at 563 326-6125.
