Just after a tornado warning in the area, damage was reported to homes and property in and around Evergreen Village in rural East Moline, Illinois.
The tornado warning was issued just before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, for an area that stretched from Bettendorf through northern Rock Island County and up to Rapids City and Port Byron in Illinois.
A short time after that, there were reports of a possible house collapse in the 17800 block of 40th Avenue North, and of more damage in the 3900 block of 179th Street, in the Evergreen Village subdivision.
The location is just northeast of Golfmohr Golf Club, along the south edge of the Fawks Nature Preserve, between East Moline and Rapids City. The National Weather Service reported a tornado on the ground near I-80 and I-88 at about 7:30 p.m.
A large delivery truck overturned on a ramp at the nearby interchange of Illinois 84 and Interstate 80.
