Emergency crews are on the scene of an Amtrak train derailment in Kansas.
The train, bound for Chicago jumped the tracks 20 miles west of Dodge City. WLS-TV, the ABC affiliate in Chicago, reports 7 cars are on their sides. There were 128 passengers and 14 crew members on the train that originated in Los Angeles.
The train's route has a stop in Galesburg as it travels onward to Chicago.
Several people were being transferred to a Dodge City hospital, a statement from Amtrak said. None of the injuries are considered to be life-threatening.
The track is owned and maintained by BNSF. Amtrak says they are working with BNSF to investigate the cause of the incident.
